| The Rugged Hill Towns |
Over the years, I have traveled to countries across different continents to marvel at the beauty and charm of hill towns. The juxtaposition of buildings as they cascade down the rugged slopes evoke a feeling of awe, inspiration and mystery. This series is a loose abstract interpretation and a nod to that qualities that make them irresistible. I use the versatility of acrylic paints - its transparent and opaque quality - to create texture and mood. The watercolor paper lends beautifully to this exploration and the palette knife helps capture their rugged quality.
